- Inks
DO NOT USE WATER BASED INKS. - Image
Ensure that all trim marks, colour bars and targets are positioned away from the visible image area. - Finishes
All outer sheets should be laminated, lining sheets do not need to be laminated except where solid colours are used. Please do not finish the sheets with an overall u.v. varnish. Sheets must be protected by a top board and strapped. AVOID SOLID AREAS OF DARK COLOUR IF MATT LAMINATING AS IT SHOWS MARKS BADLY, OVER WHICH WE HAVE NO CONTROL. - Trimming
Supply us with flat untrimmed sheets – we’ll do the trimming. - Overs
Generally between 5% and 10% depending on the type of loose leaf product and the quantity, smaller orders will require more overs.

- GENERAL
- Let us know when you’re preparing the artwork and we’ll send you a layout containing all the relevant dimensions which need to be adhered to.
- When you supply a colour proof to your customer, send us one too and we’ll make up a dummy to ensure that everything is as it should be.
- When you deliver the printed sheets to us please mark the pallets with the identity of the sender on whose behalf the sheets have been sent.
- If there are any problems with the printed sheets supplied to us, i.e. poor lamination, hickeys, etc. we’ll let you know. Unfortunately these problems aren’t usually seen until the binders are being made up and additional charges can be incurred as a result of having to stop and restart the job. Please make sure that the printed sheets are of a uniform standard otherwise any additional costs may have to be passed on to you.
